The Best is Yet to Come mug holds 15oz. of your favorite hot drink. Its elegant white matte exterior is complemented by a gray, high-gloss interior, and Angel's design contrasted in black. I pray that this mug is a reminder to you that our days are held with Christ, and the very best of them are still yet to come. An encouragement on the hard days, and a joy on the great ones.
I knew it as my Grandma’s favorite quote. “The best is yet to come” was not only in her words, but how she lived her life: a focus on eternity. The popular phrase actually originally came from Corrie Ten Boom who describes the year her family spent in Nazi concentration camps in her incredible book The Hiding Place. Corrie’s sister Betsie, in her last moments at the camp before she went to be with the Lord, whispered to her sister at her bedside, “we must tell people what we have learned here. We must tell them that there is no pit so deep that He is not deeper still. They will listen to us, Corrie, because we have been here.” Years later, Corrie would add, “With Jesus even in our darkest moments, the best remains and the very best is yet to be.”
Amidst all kinds: the days we never wish to repeat, the repetitive hours of the mundane, and even the greatest days, what a comfort to hold that the best is still yet to come. The Apostle Paul reminds us that no matter what we experience on this earth, even if lifelong, it is a light momentary affliction in comparison to what awaits us in eternity with our Savior, Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:17). All is Christ.
